Information

Atelier Mondial, International Arts Exchange Programme Basel – Mulhouse – Freiburg, gives artists and creative workers from the Basel area (CH), the canton of Solothurn (CH), the south Baden area (DE), and from Alsace (FR) the opportunity of a several months’ work placement abroad, within the scope of an annual tender.

The application process for all potential scholarship recipients in all the Atelier Mondial-supported areas is announced around the beginning of May every year for the following year. Applications must be made by the beginning of June, with the jury coming together to make its decisions at the end of August. Precise dates and conditions for participation can be found in the actual announcement inviting candidates to apply. Registration takes place exclusively online via this website, and is possible as long as the invitation to apply remains open.

Eligible to apply are artists and cultural creators in various areas as long as they demonstrably live or work in commuting distance from Atelier Mondial (the cantons of Basel-Stadt, Basel-Country and Solothurn, South Baden to Freiburg, and Alsace). A valid certificate of residence from the current year or a valid job contract must be submitted alongside an artists’ portfolio with a list of works and a covering letter of max. 20 pages as well as a letter of motivation.

The destination, number of scholarships, and the individual areas which will receive support can change from year to year.
