Leonardo Bürgi (*1994) is interested in the philosophical question of human existence in his artistic practice. In his spatial works, the interest in duality is expressed in particular. The visualization of poles and their relation reveals a field of tension. This juxtaposition allows a glimpse into an extremely complex subject which has no answers, but which has been a source of concern for mankind since the beginning of mankind.
Leonardo Bürgi uses mainly natural raw materials such as wood, earth, natural colour pigments and fabrics as the basis for his examination of the dichotomy between man/culture and nature, which he contrasts in installations with materials, forms of processing and thought constructs of industrial origin.
